Q. Who can enter nominations for the Builders’ Merchants Awards for Excellence?
A. Any Builders, Plumbers, Timber, Decorators, Heating or other merchants: merchant wholesalers & distributors; architectural ironmongers; Manufacturers & Suppliers; House Builders & Developers; Contractors and Installers and other supplier industry customers
Q.Can I nominate myself or my company for any of the awards categories?
A. Yes and you are encouraged to do so
Q. Who judges the awards?
A. A panel of leading merchant
industry professionals from the BMF, NMBS, UNIMER, GAI,
IoBM and the WCoBM plus independent judges.
Q. What are the judges looking for in an award winning nomination?
A. The judging criteria for each category of award differs slightly see nomination forms for specific requirements by clicking on Award Categories. General information on what the judges are looking for are shown in the How to Enter section.
Q. What’s the closing date for nominations?
A. Nominations must be submitted by Thursday 11th September 2008. Judging will take place within four weeks and finalist announced by mid October. All finalists will be advised five weeks prior to the Awards presentations on 21st November 2008.
Q. How up to date must nominations be?
A. The period for consideration is from mid 2007 to the present day.
Q. As a past winner or finalist is there any point in me submitting nominations again?
A. In short Yes. If you don’t enter, you won’t win. If you are a previous winner, try and win again. Others have. If you have been a previous finalist go for it and try and win this time round.
