Laura Qualters
Membership Development Manager, Timber Development UKWith over 20 years of experience in the timber industry, Laura began their career at John Brash, a family-run business specialising in roofing battens and landscaping products. Following John Brash’s acquisition by Marley in 2016, they broadened their expertise by supporting high-profile projects and providing technical guidance across the sector.
In 2023, Laura joined Timber Development UK (TDUK), the UK’s largest supply chain body for timber, as Membership Development Manager. In this role, she focused on growing and engaging membership numbers while building strong relationships throughout the supply chain.
Laura's passion for timber and best practice led her to join the board of the Timber Decking and Cladding Association (TDCA) in 2018 and now serves as the Director of Strategy, Communications, and Membership Development for the TDCA alongside her role at TDUK.
One of their proudest achievements was launching the inaugural Women in Timber event in 2025. This landmark event brought together over 100 women from across the sector to highlight the importance of visibility, connections, and representation within the industry.
