Dave Saunders

Dave has more than 40 years of industry experience, including opening his first Timber & Joinery Centre in Nottingham in 1982. This initial opening expanded to a multi-branch offering throughout the Midlands over the next 25 years until its eventual sale in 2007.

Building on his successful business openings Dave joined the institute of Builders Merchants in 1977, serving multiple branches and running as National President in 1993/94.

Dave has brought his lifetime of experience to the judging panel at the Builders’ Merchants Awards and is an integral member of the team. When he is not sharing his passion for the industry you can find him experiencing the French life during his regular visits to France, playing Bridge regularly and wining & dining as much as possible, having recently joined a local Probus club to further his business knowledge.
